Bonsai Pruning & Wiring

Join us at Atlantic Gardening Company on Saturday, January 18th from 12:00pm - 3:00pm with James, the Bonsai Guy! Enjoy a class filled with the art of Bonsai and learn how to prune & wire your Bonsai Tree to create the whimsical shape you desire. In this workshop, James will teach you the ins and outs of Pruning & Wiring, an important skill in the art of Bonsai. Pruning and Wiring is what creates that well known "Bonsai" shape to various trees. Although you will all be learning this skill, you are still given & encouraged to use creative freedom when deciding on the orientation of your tree. Here's what's included in this workshop: 6" Mixed Bonsai Trees in their grow pots, Pruning Shears for each attendee to use during class, and Bonsai Wire. This class is revolved around executing & understanding the art form that takes place above the soil, as we leave your Bonsai's roots alone to put it's energy towards the changes taking place to its foliage.
